Scruta started while I was building my own app. I'm a solo developer working with a small budget and no marketing team. To get the app in front of people I needed creators, but I couldn't afford to spend money on the wrong ones.
So I used AI to build myself a tool that took the guesswork out of it. I'd feed it the numbers from a creator's profile, and it would run the checks and give me a straight read on whether someone was actually worth working with. It genuinely helped.
The catch was that it was still slow. I was the one digging up every number and copying and pasting it all in by hand, one creator at a time. It worked, but it was tedious.
So I took that tool and turned it into a web app that does the gathering for you. Now you just type a handle, and Scruta pulls the numbers and runs the checks itself, no copying and pasting. That's Scruta.
